Mysuru, August 11 — As part of the preparations for the world-renowned Mysuru Dasara festival, the first day of training for the elephant squad commenced on August 11 under the leadership of Captain Abhimanyu. The session took place within the Mysuru Palace premises, with Forest Officer Dr. I.B. Prabhugowda in attendance.
Subramanya S., Editor of Eleven News of Mysore, spoke with Forest Officer Prabhugowda to inquire whether there were any issues concerning the elephants or their mahouts. Responding to the query, Prabhugowda stated, “There are no problems whatsoever. All elephants are in good health, and the mahouts are performing their duties diligently.”
Also present at the event was Manoj Kumar, Chief Reporter for Eleven News of Mysore Mandya division.
The Forest Department and Dasara Committee are providing special care, nutrition, and security for the elephants. Daily training sessions will continue, and the public is welcome to witness the preparations. As the majestic elephant squad gets ready for the grand Jumboo Savari procession, they are already making a regal impression along Mysuru’s royal streets.
