Mysuru, August 1, 2025 — MLC Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah has welcomed the clean chit given by the retired Justice Desai Commission in the MUDA (Mysuru Urban Development Authority) case. Speaking to the media today, he stated that there was no scam in MUDA and that any investigation would have reached the same conclusion.
“There was no scam in MUDA. The Desai Commission has confirmed this, and even the Supreme Court has dismissed the allegations. The High Command is well aware of the facts, and the public knows there was no wrongdoing,” he said.
On Allegations Against CM’s Wife
Responding to questions about CM Siddaramaiah’s wife Parvathi being named as A2 in the case, Yathindra said:
“There was a conspiracy against our mother, who has never been involved in politics. It was emotionally painful for her. That’s why she returned the site. We want a full and transparent investigation. If the 14 sites are not returned, let the law provide a fair remedy.”
He accused political opponents of repeatedly targeting their family and trying to trap CM Siddaramaiah, but said the truth is now emerging and the people of Karnataka understand they are innocent.
Gratitude to Varuna Constituency
Yathindra became emotional while speaking about the support from the people of Varuna:
“It’s impossible to repay the debt of the people of Varuna. They gave us political strength, made my father the Chief Minister, and me an MLA. I’m deeply grateful.”
On Mysuru Drug Factory Case
Commenting on the recent drug factory bust in Mysuru, he acknowledged public concern:
“People are saying drug activity is increasing. The CM has given strict instructions to the police, and they are working. But Maharashtra police have been more proactive in cracking down on drug networks.”
No Ambition for Ministerial Post
Yathindra clarified that he is not seeking a ministerial position:
“As long as my father is in office, I won’t ask for a ministerial post. All MLAs in Mysuru are close to me, but I respect my father’s decision.”
On DK Shivakumar and Parameshwar’s Separate Meetings
He dismissed speculation about internal party divisions:
“My father will remain CM for five years. Any meetings held are for the party’s benefit. He has 45 years of political experience. No matter what conspiracies the opposition tries, truth will prevail as long as people bless us.”
No Knowledge of ‘September or October Revolution’
Yathindra concluded by saying:
“We don’t know anything about a September or October revolution. Ask those who are talking about it. As far as we know, there will be no change in the state.”
