Bengaluru: In response to the widespread devastation caused by heavy monsoon rains, JD(S) youth wing state president Nikhil Kumaraswamy has announced a state-wide tour to directly engage with farmers and residents in flood-hit regions.
The excessive rainfall has destroyed crops across lakhs of hectares, leaving farmers in deep distress. Many families have also lost their homes, adding to the humanitarian crisis. Addressing the media, Nikhil accused the Congress government and district in-charge ministers of neglecting the victims and failing to provide timely relief.
During the tour, the JD(S) team will visit affected villages, assess crop loss and housing damage, and compile a comprehensive ground report to be submitted to the state government. The party aims to ensure that the voices of the flood-hit communities are heard and that their demands for fair compensation and rehabilitation are addressed.
