Hunsur: The town witnessed a grand and vibrant celebration of Hanuma Jayanthi as thousands of devotees gathered to participate in the procession and cultural programmes organised on the occasion. The event drew significant public attention and saw the presence of several prominent political leaders.
Former Hunsur MLA Manjunath and current MLA Harish Gowda were among the key dignitaries who graced the celebrations. Both leaders greeted the devotees, offered prayers, and appreciated the organisers for conducting the event on a large scale.
Given the massive turnout, authorities made extensive security arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the festivities. Around 1,800 police personnel were deployed across Hunsur, including traffic units, KSRP teams, and special patrol squads. Senior officers supervised the arrangements to maintain order and manage crowd movement throughout the day.
The Hanuma Jayanthi procession, accompanied by traditional music, cultural performances, and devotional chants, moved through major streets of the town before culminating at the designated venue. Devotees from surrounding villages also participated, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Officials reported that the event concluded peacefully, with no major incidents, thanks to coordinated efforts between the police, local administration, and community organisers.
